We find that a high percentage of yard sites have not been prepared adequately. Your site needs to be on a level plane with a slight fall – no more than 1:50. Example: 1m fall over 50m, 500mm over 25m or 250mm over 12.5m.
When preparing your site for the yards we suggest you put a base down using a local road base, this is critical if the yards are going onto heavy soil (black soil). If the yards are going onto a site that does not need preparation, please ensure the site is slashed or free of long grass and weeds. Make sure the site is large enough to include the loading ramp.
