About Us

At M&M Stockyards, our mission is to build quality, durable stockyards that meet the diverse needs of Australian farmers. Since 1990, we have dedicated ourselves to delivering exceptional workmanship and value, ensuring every yard we produce stands the test of time.

The business was originally established in 1990 by the McNamara family, who sought to fill a need in the market for quality stockyard solutions. In 2004, the company transitioned into a larger premises in Manilla to better accommodate the growing demands of its expanding operations and customer base. In 2020, M&M Stockyards underwent a change in ownership when it was purchased by Charlie Hart, a respected figure in the agricultural sector and the owner of Hart Rural Agencies, which features retail stores in both Barraba and Manilla. Charlie also serves as a Stock and Station Agent, bringing valuable experience and insight to the business.

We take pride in being a locally-owned and operated business, deeply rooted in the regional community. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our products, which are designed with a focus on strength, reliability, and functionality. We understand that your livestock is your livelihood, and our stockyards are engineered to provide a secure and manageable environment for both animals and handlers.

Project Locations

Since our beginning in 1990, M & M Stockyards have built close to three thousand complete sets of yards, hundreds of yard extensions and thousands of individual panels. Many of these are located close to our workshop in regional New South Wales however, you can find some as far as South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and even the Northern Territory.
